Properties: it is a crystalline powder with color from orange to dark red brown. It is sensitive to light. It becomes dark but no melting by heating. It is soluble in benzene, chloroform, chlorobenzene, carbon disulfide, acid and alkali. It is slightly soluble in ethanol and ether and almost insoluble in water. Light green solution shows red fluorescence under ultraviolet light.
Main Specifications: it is dry goods. According to CP2010, bilirubin (C33H36N406) content should be no less than 90.0%. Loss on drying should be no more than 2.0%.
