Horizontal Pelton Turbine/Hydro turbine/Hydro power

  Pelton Turbine: (The Impulse turbine)   Pelton turbine is a type of impulse turbine, water passes through nozzles and strikes spoon-shaped buckets or  cups arranged on the periphery of a runner, which causes the runner to rotate, producing mechanical energy.  The runner is fixed on a shaft, and the rotational motion of the turbine is transmitted by the shaft to a generator.     Water Head Range: H=100M-1500M   

Specifications	The diameter of the runner is 0.5m- 5.0m; Suitable water head: H =100m-1500m; Suitable flow: Q =0.20m3/s- 20.0m3/s; Unit Capacity of the generator: 500KW -100MW.
Advantages	Pelton Turbines are suitable for the hydraulic power stations with high water head and small  water flow.  They have compact structure, small size, high efficiency and need fewer investments.
