The [Hometown of Coptis"-the most famous in Shizhu County-is rich in roots, strong in texture, and red and yellow in flesh. In the past, it was mostly tribute to the imperial court, and it has the efficacy of heat and dampness, purging and detoxification.

Shizhu County has 16 townships, 30,000 farmer households, and 100,000 farmer planting Coptis. It is sold throughout the country and exported to more than 10 countries and regions including North Korea, South Korea, Vietnam, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau.
