Huanglian New Manifest Branch

This product is a buttercup plant [b] Huanglian [/b]coptis chinensis Franch., [b] triangle leaf Huanglian [/b]coptis deltoidea c. Cheng et Hsiao or [b] Cloud company [/b]coptis Teeta Drying of Wall. [b] rhizome [/b]. The above three species are known as "flavor Company", "Ya Lien" and "cloud Company" respectively. Autumn mining, remove roots and sediment, dry, hit the residual roots.

Traits of Huanglian

• Flavor Connection: More agglomeration into clusters, often bent, shaped like chicken claws, single-branched rhizome long 3~6cm, diameter 0.3~0.8cm. The surface is grayish yellow or yellowish brown, rough, with irregular nodular uplift, roots and roots residues, some of which have smooth surfaces such as stem poles, and are known as "crossing the Bridge". Upper multiple residual brown squamous leaves, with residual stems or petioles often left at the top. Hard, untidy section, orange red or dark brown skin, bright yellow or orange wood, radially arranged, some hollow medulla. Qi Micro, taste extremely bitter. 
• Yalian: Mostly single branch, slightly cylindrical, micro-curved, long 4~8cm, diameter 0.5~1cm. "Crossing the bridge" is longer. The top has a little residual stem. Cloud Connection: Bend is hooked, mostly single branch, smaller.

(1) The transverse surface of this product: the flavor of the cork is a series of cells. The cortex is wider, with stone cells scattered individually or in groups. The middle column sheath fibers are bundles, or are accompanied by a few stone cells, all showing yellow. Vascular bundle external toughness type, ring. The formation layer between bundles is not obvious. The xylem is yellow, all woody, and the wood fiber is more developed. The medullary parts are thin-walled cells, stone-free cells. There are stone cells in the medulla. There were no stone cells in the cloud cortex, middle column sheath and medulla. 

(2) Take this product coarse powder about 1g, plus ethanol 10ml, heated to boiling, cold, filtered. Take 5 drops of the filter, add dilute hydrochloric acid 1ml and a small amount of chlorine lime, that is, Cherry red, another filter 5 drops, plus 5% gallic acid ethanol solution 2~3 droplets, steamed dry, hot with a few drops of sulfuric acid, that is, dark green. 

(3) Take this product powder 50mg, add methanol 5ml, heating reflux for 15 minutes, filtration, filter supplement with methanol to make 5ml, as a solution for the test product. Also take huanglian control medicinal herbs, with the rule of law into a control medicinal solution. Then take berberine hydrochloride control products, add methanol to make every 1ml containing 0. A solution of 5mg, as a control solution. According to the thin Layer chromatography (appendix Ⅵb) test, the 1μl of the above three kinds of solutions were absorbed on the same silicone G thin laminates, with ethyl acetate-isopropyl alcohol-methanol-water (6:3:1. 5:1. 5:0. 3) for the expansion agent, ammonia vapor saturated expansion cylinder, expand, remove, dry, put UV light (365nm) under the view. In the color spectrum, the same yellow fluorescent spots were showed in the corresponding position with the contrast of the control herbal medicine chromatography, and a yellow fluorescent spot was the same in the position corresponding to the control color spectrum.
