4V210-08-AC 24V 1/4" NPT 4W/2P Solenoid Directional Valve
Our 4 Way 2 Position valves feature 5 ports on the valve body. These valves are commonly used for double acting cylinders in which the energized air output ports switch between Output and Exhaust function. The valves in this series requires a minimum of 22 PSI to operate.
Markings on Valve Body:
P: Supply Port
A: Energized Air Output
B: Energized Air Output
R: Exhaust Port (Exhaust for A Port)
S: Exhaust Port (Exhaust for B Port)
The 4 Way 2 Position Valve; has two states
Neutral/Power Off/1st Position: The Supply Port (P) allows air to flow to Energized Air Output Port (A). Then Port (B) is connected to the Exhaust Port (S). Commonly used to retract the piston of a double acting cylinder to the starting position.
Energized/Power On/2nd Position: The Supply Port (P) port allows air to flow to Energized Air Output Port (B). Then Port (A) is connected to the Exhaust Port (R). Commonly used to extend the piston of a double acting cylinder to the extreme extended position.
(You can also reverse the hook up of Port A and Port B if you wish for your work piece to operate differently.)
