Wang Jingen, a native of Xinbei Village, Shuyuan Town, was born in 1937. At the age of 20, he studied wood carving from his father-in-law and changed to stone carving in the 1980s. Anyone who has seen his works is amazed by his exquisite knife technique and lifelike artistic modeling. Professor Zeng Zhushao, an authority on sculpture in China, read his works and said: "The kung fu is very solid, the sabre technique is light and slow, and it is easy to stumble, straightforward and natural, and can see danger in the ordinary, and skillful in the clumsiness". In his nearly 50 years of carving career, his reputation has risen rapidly and he has made great achievements. Stone carving enthusiasts, literati, celebrities, scholars and international friends have come to watch and buy. His works are exported to dozens of countries, such as Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Canada, Italy, etc. The stone carving "Crab Basket" won the gold medal of the "First Chinese Folk Art Exhibition"; The stone carving "Eight Games Holy Pot" was collected by the Organizing Committee of the Eighth National Games in October 1997; The stone carving "Underwater Dragon Palace" was collected by the General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the Administration of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing in October 1998 in the Great Hall Exhibition Hall.
