1、 Working principle of safety relief control valve
The working principle of a safety relief valve is based on the principle of pressure relief. Like a Pressure relief valve, its main function is to open the valve to provide a channel for high-pressure gas or medium to be released, ensuring that the pipeline pressure does not exceed the predetermined value, thus achieving the goal of protecting equipment and personnel safety. Normally, a safety relief valve is designed to be located at the discharge port in the pipeline. When the pressure in the pipeline exceeds the specified value, the safety relief valve automatically opens, allowing some medium or gas to be released from the valve port. By reducing the system pressure, the purpose of reducing the pipeline pressure is achieved.
2、 Classification of safety relief valves: Safety relief valves can be basically divided into the following four types based on different working principles and structures:
Spring type safety relief valve: The working principle of a spring type safety relief valve is to apply the pressure of the relief medium to the valve disc. When the pressure exceeds the set value, the spring force pushes the valve disc upwards, causing the medium to be discharged through the relief hole.
Inertia type safety relief valve: Inertia type safety relief valves usually adopt a piston type structure. When high-pressure gas or medium in the pipeline suddenly overloads, the piston will be subjected to on-site inertia load, causing the valve to automatically open, thereby achieving the purpose of relieving pressure.
Hydraulic safety relief valve: Hydraulic safety relief valve is a spring that quickly transfers the pressure of the medium to the valve body. Opening the valve allows the pressure relief medium to be released through the valve port, ensuring that the medium in the pipeline does not exceed the pressure value set by the safety relief valve.
